This evening I received an email from internet marketing expert Gauher Chaudhry that I want to tell you about.
Gauher recently interview a legend in the business, Marlon Sanders, about the subject of “Traffic Generation.” In the hour-long interview Gauher was able to pick Marlon’s brain on how he has been able to develop a successful affiliate program that drives almost all of his traffic for his online business.
For those of you who don’t know of Marlon, he has been in the business of internet marketing for close to two decades. He is, without question, one of the original gurus of this business.
Here is what Gauher had to say about Marlon Sanders and the interview he did with Marlon:
His advice is something to be closely followed because he has attracted over 30,000 affiliates to his affiliate program and has the process down to an art.
We spent a good hour on a call and he spilled the beans to his success with his affiliate program and how he keeps his affiliates motivated to continually promote his products and services.
Marlon does not have to worry about SEO and link building. He doesn’t have to worry about the next Google Penguin update. He doesn’t have to worry about the rising PPC cost on Google Adwords and Facebook Ads. Marlon Sanders has outsourced his traffic to his army of 30,000 affiliates. And he only has to pay them if the traffic they send converts to a sale.
Here is the link to Gauher’s blog post that gives details on how you can access the interview: GauherChaudhry.com — “Put Your Traffic On Auto-Pilot.”
The interview with Marlon is inside Gauher’s private site, IMStealth. Just so we are clearn, you do have to become a member of IMStealth in order to access the interview with Marlon Sanders.
But folks, a membership to IMStealth is only $10 a month. And after you listen to the interview you can certainly cancel your membership if you so desire.
If you don’t have your own product or service, this interview may not have much value for you. However, if you are a product owner and you want to develop your own affiliate program, I highly recommend that you listen to what Marlon Sanders has to say about his subject. There are few people in this industry that know how to develop a profitable affiliate program and put their traffic on auto-pilot like Marlon Sanders.
Marlon absolutely loves internet marketing and his enthusiasm for the business is quite infectious. I have heard Marlon interviewed a few times and it is always educational.
Two years ago I heard an interview where Marlon talked about how he was generating a ton of leads with paid Facebook Ads. What I loved about this interview is that Marlon detailed how he was able to generate leads using this paid traffic source (i.e. Facebook Ads) and do it while incurring very little cost.
Here’s the strategy. Marlon was driving traffic with Facebook Ads to an offer page where he was giving away a free report in exchange for the visitors email address. Standard internet marketing list building where you offer a free report in exchange for an email address. Nothing new here.
But after the visitor entered the required email address, they were taken to a thank you page with a download link for the free offer. After they downloaded the free report they were directed to a page that had an offer for a product that Marlon was selling.
It’s simply a “Self Liquidating Offer” where the sales from the product paid for the advertising cost.
In other words, Marlon was able to list build at literally zero cost.
Now here is the best part. If memory serves me correct, I believe that both the free report and the product Marlon was selling on the thank you page were products that Marlon did not even own. He just had resale rights to them.
That’s absolutely genius. List build at zero cost by offering a free report and a product for sale on the thank you page. And he didn’t develop either product. He just had the rights to sell both of them.
That’s strategic thinking. And it’s another example of why so many people in the business of internet marketing have such great respect for Marlon Sanders.
All the best,
Jon Poland
